About Me

"Hello! Thank you for visiting my website and for wanting to know more. I believe all Actors embark on the same challenging and highly competitive journey throughout their lives, however each actor's road to stardom is vastly different – this is my own journey so far...

My earliest acting role was when I was 7 in our school's Nativity play – I still have a (rather embarrassing) picture from this! I also recall playing a naughty sheep in a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime – (unfortunately) I don't have a picture from that one. Growing up, I watched a lot of science fiction and comedy on TV which peaked my interest in escaping from the real world, and led to many hours re-enacting my favourite shows – this was when my artistic flair blossomed.

During Secondary School I began having Drama classes taught by former actress Lucy Whelan – a switch flicked in my head and I knew at that point I wanted to pursue acting to a professional level. I am eternally grateful to Lucy who's teachings gave me the inspiration to take that initial step forward. I proceeded to take Drama and Theatre Studies for GCSE and A-levels, before eventually securing a place at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge to study Drama!

University was an unforgettable experience where I met many like-minded creatives, and was given the opportunity to perform in several fantastic productions. My favourite would have to be Euripides' The Bacchae which we performed at the Mumford Theatre on Cambridge's biggest stage! I was also a member of the Theatre Arts Society where we had regular meetings to discuss creative ideas and projects, as well as putting on plays following casting processes. Additionally, I performed in two flashmob dances, pictures from which and selected other works can be viewed in my Gallery. In 2012, I graduated with a BA (Hons) 2:1 degree which I was over the moon about!

Life after university was initially tricky – I decided to focus my attention on securing a full-time job whilst also looking for acting roles. Sadly many actors have to rely on other work between roles just to get by, and I find it is easy for actors who are trying to breakthrough to self-doubt their abilities – that said however, I have had the mindset of “if you don't try, you don't get” for as long as I can remember, and I still strongly stand by this today!

Four years after I graduated, I applied to Kingdom Drama School in London as I wanted to retrain some of my skills and improve my craft – I was delighted when they offered me a place there for 3 terms! The school was co-founded by actor Ashley Walters, and I was taught by actor Robert Whitelock. My experience and lessons learnt there proved invaluable, and we were given the opportunity to perform two professional showcases in front of public audiences, including a Monologue Jam judged by casting director, Des Hamilton, and actor Andrew Shim.

After Kingdom, I joined a variety of casting websites and online groups, including the worldwide artistic community Loud Voices, Silent Streets, to help get my name out there properly. The global pandemic significantly impacted the Arts industry, which has made securing roles more difficult than ever for everyone!

So, where am I at today? I still work full-time aside from acting, yet continue to have a vested interest in our profession, particularly in TV and film – I am available to book so please feel free to contact me! I am also happy to connect with fellow creatives who will proactively work with me and support each other's craft. Remember, always follow your dreams regardless of how out of reach they may sometimes seem – thank you so much for taking the time to read my journey!"
